Strong. Independent. Courageous. A fighter.
I talk a lot about fear and try to encourage others to look beyond their fears, push aside the thoughts of what ifs, and to take risks you never thought you could, because I've witnessed what could happen when you do. We're all afraid of something. We're all afraid to take a risk that could possibly go wrong. We've all encountered specific people and certain situations that may have triggered the feelings and sensations of being afraid. And we've all gone through the endless amount of emotions. It's the experience that allows us to grow and find the strength, courage, and peace within ourselves. It's the experience that allows us to never look back to what may have hurt us, but to be able to look back and realize how good God was and have always been. It's a chapter we needed to live to learn a lesson. A chapter meant to be closed and never meant to be revisited.
And yet, we're all human. Sometimes we revisit the chapter that was never meant to revisit, in hopes to a different ending. We re-enter a chapter being a different person; stronger, wiser, independent, and courageous. You become more aware, guarded, and overprotective of yourself. A fighter. But you continue to see a pattern that never changed. A routine that won't stop unless help is sought by the other party. You can't change something that doesn't wish to be changed.
You see, sometimes one chapter that continues to be revisited, prevent you from the opportunities that God has planned for you. Why revisit a chapter consumed with emotions of fear, anger, and doubt? In addition, why allow that chapter or the characters in that chapter, to carry onto the next? It's the moment you let go of the trauma, the fear, and the doubt, that allows God to give you what was meant for you. The moment he opens doors to opportunities you never thought could be possible.
Sometimes entering the unknown is a scary thing. The thoughts of what ifs, fear, and doubt. Sometimes the risk we take to enter the unknowns, are the ones that end up becoming something so beautiful. Don't let fear run your life or get in the way of possible opportunities. Look beyond the what ifs and take the risk.
Our experiences, our struggles, and the people we meet, all influence the person you are today. You discover your strength, your courage, your capabilities, your passion. Every opportunity that comes your way, all happens for a reason. Whether it was to teach you a lesson, a reality check, or an opportunity for a bigger one... it all happens for a reason.
I encourage you to push aside your fears and just go for it. Push aside your negative thoughts of what ifs to positive thoughts of what's next. Refresh and rejuvenate your mind by reading uplifting messages, encouraging stories, and inspiring quotes. This is your time to shine. Be thankful for the opportunities that may have not worked out but helped opened the doors for the next big thing. Be thankful for the relationships you've lost and the ones you've gained and will gain. There's a reason why specific people didn't reach a certain chapter in your life and that's okay. I encourage you to have faith and to take the risk in whatever it was you were doubting.
You'll never know if you never try and you'll never achieve if you always doubt.
