One of the many things I think my family and friends can agree on would be that I work a lot. And I do. If it isn't at my full time job at the hospital, it's working on my blog, researching, networking, working the events with Fashion Week San Diego, etc.. I'm always working on something but I can't complain because everything I'm doing, I love! I think it's important to make sure you're doing the things you love so you don't feel overwhelmed or stressed on a daily basis. It's also important to know your priorities and how to balance life. I could spend hours with work but I'll always make time for my family, friends, health, and just having a social life. I love having fun and just being around positive people with positive vibes!
Balance is key just as it is to have a strong support system.
I've definitely made some sacrifices and they're decisions I've made to work towards/achieve my goals. As I was reading my morning devotions on www.joycemeyer.org, she specifically talked about goals and the ideal way to help achieve them. This stuck out to me ever since so I thought I'd share it with all of you:
She uses an acronym to help people reach their goals: (S.M.A.R.T)
Specific - make your goals as specific as possible.
Measurable - goals that are hard to measure are goals hard to achieve.
Attainable - make your goals reachable.
Realistic - it's important to dream big and high, but don't set yourself up for disappointment by trying to reach unrealistic goals.
Timely - people who set goals without target completion dates rarely accomplish their objectives.
I hope whatever your goal is for this year, for the month, or just goals you've set to work on throughout your life... I hope you succeed and achieve in all of them!
