Matthew 5:14-16: “14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Sometimes the revelation of our purpose or discovering a hidden talent becomes clouded by the doubts and fears that we let in. We become consumed with the never ending questions and the overwhelming flood of feelings, that we become distracted in finding our purpose. We spend most of our life trying to figure it out and come to the point of really questioning what that is. But the question is what are you doing in trying to find that purpose?
A big part of discovering what that reason is is not only learned or taught, but it’s the experiences that allows and helps us define who we are, what we like, what we don’t like, etc. It’s the relationships and the networks we encounter that help lead us to a road of opportunities. So I encourage you to pray. I can’t even begin to explain how strong prayer is. If you’re trying to find your purpose or feel caught in a game of tug of war of opportunities, pray. Certain things take time. May take days, months, and maybe even years for your prayers to be answered. But never stop praying and never stop believing. Even when you’re feeling discouraged, pray. One day, it’ll come to you.
