Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

You will be ok.

You will be ok.

I woke up this morning with the urge to just write. I write this to anyone who may need a little encouragement today.

Do you ever get those moments when you wake up and get an instant thought that comes into your head? Or what about waking up to things you have to remind yourself to do and get done throughout the day? Or what about waking up to emotions like crying? Whether you're waking up from a dream or waking up to a feeling you thought would have disappeared if you fell asleep but didn't…

Whatever you're feeling or whoever you are, you will be ok. I get it. Sometimes we get those days when we can't wait to close our eyes and sleep. We get caught in a situation of emotions where all we want to do is lay in bed and think. Situations that cause heartaches, stress, and moments where you feel so depressed that there are just times you want to be alone and isolate yourself. Then there are those moments when you start thinking, which causes a restless mind full of thoughts. Thoughts that lead to feelings: anger, frustration, stress, sadness, etc. Then as the day goes on, we look forward to that moment where you can shut down from the world, close our eyes again, and sleep.

My question for you is what are you going to do today?

You see, we all have a choice and it all starts with the mind. How you wake up and your thoughts of when you wake up, determine how your day will be. The energy you let in will be the energy that is released. Begin your day with positive thoughts and positive affirmations. Even if you’re sad, even if you’re struggling, you woke up to the blessing of another day, family and friends that love you, a bed, a home, food… and the list of blessings can go on. Remember that we all have our struggles and that you’re never alone. Never allow your emotions and thoughts to eat you up inside where you feel stuck in a dark hole that seems impossible to get out. We weren’t made to live this life feeling alone or to be alone. If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God blessed us with people in our lives to be able to talk to and to live life with. You may think no one understands or might be afraid to share certain things that you’ve kept to yourself, but trust me it will feel so much better letting everything out. Let yourself be free from the imprisonment of your own thoughts and emotions.

So today, I encourage you to find your inner strength and look to the future. There is nothing from your past that has that much power over you to hold you back.
