"Just because you aren't making progress as fast as you think you should, doesn't mean you aren't making progress at all. Keep going!"
One of my favorite things to do is to look into the story behind a designer's piece, their journey, how they started, where they came from, etc. This post isn't going to talk about the history of a designer but to
encourage you that we ALL started from somewhere. We all started with a simple idea and a passion.
One of favorite fashion stories is Coco Chanel's. Not just because of her amazing timeless designs but the story behind her journey to success. Chanel grew up in an orphanage after her mother passed away, where she was taught to sew. She was actually a singer before she became known as a fashion designer. Her journey for her legacy to still live on today wasn't all that easy or glamorous and took hard work, passion, and dedication. She became a style icon because of the simple yet sophisticated outfits she paired together. She used a color that was once associated with mourning and created the chic revolutionary design of the "little black dress".
Chanel quoted "Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury."
You can read more into her story but I wanted to share that to encourage you that just because you may feel like you're not moving as fast as you want to, just know that it only takes that first step of action to start fulfilling your goals. If you took that initial step, then be proud of yourself because you started what most people still hesitate to do. Don't wait for the day you wake up and ask yourself, "Why didn't I start sooner?" Every dream is free, but the hustle is what's worth the cost.
