5 Reasons to Detox.

5 Reasons to Detox.

A purposeful tea,

A cleanse for me,

Only with YogiTea.

Detoxing is something I do a couple months throughout the year. It’s a way for me to not just cleanse the body, but to detox the mind and spirit as well. Detoxing is a lifestyle.

Why Detox?

In the book, Detox Diet from Shonali Sabherwal, she shares how life is one big detox which I agree. Detoxing allows one mind, body, and soul to feel happier and recharged. Detoxing doesn’t just mean releasing the unwanted chemicals from your body and the bad food you've consumed, but to also detox your thoughts, bad relationships/friendships, negative emotions, and unpleasant situations. There’s beauty in detoxing and Yogi is ultimately my go to brand to not only cleanse the body but to also cleanse the mind, spirit, and soul. It’s the tea that helps me relax. It’s the tea that helps me unwind. It’s a purposeful tea that benefits all.

Here are 5 health reasons why detoxing is important:

1.     Detoxification is what your body does naturally to neutralize, transform or get rid of unwanted materials or toxins. Removing all toxins from your body supports our body’s elimination systems.

2.     Improves your skin condition. Having poor skin condition is usually a result from eating processed foods high in fat and sugar, regularly consuming alcohol and/or having coffee on a daily basis. This is due to the overworked liver that can also cause a number of harmful things to your body. You recharge the organ by detoxing.

3.      Detoxing helps strengthen the immune system, which helps fights off infections.

4.     Detoxing helps with weight loss. Since we are releasing the body of toxins stored in fat cells, this ultimately helps boost our metabolism.

5.     Increased energy that helps with mental and physical clarity.

Yogi has a variety of different teas with different purposes. Here is a list of my favorites:

-       Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea

-       Ginger Tea

-       Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life

-       Bedtime Tea
